It was a huge thrill for me to see a woodpecker for some reason. I kept waiting for the Woody Woodpecker song. :D

Hi buddy!

We haven't had them in ages (I assume the 20th century fucked up the ecosystem so badly that their eggs went soft), but they've come back in the last decade. I tend to yell, "Stop that, you idiot!" at them because concussions.

I was like, what is this, a woodpecker? Because it wasn't pecking, it was screaming at the other birds, but I recognized him from the cartoon!

He wasn't even pecking, he was yelling at the other birds, which I don't blame him they give me headaches too.

He was so bright! I wish the picture was better, but I was afraid to open the window and scare him off.

We have woodpeckers in a big tree and they yell constantly. When I go out to the driveway to get the paper in the morning, they start yelling at me, and I talk back. The neighbors probably think I’m the nutty old lady who yells at birds.
