(no subject)

So, I just finished my Yuletide signup (my gosh, it's still very slow, it took me forever).

Moments later, I realize that Prince Caspian the movie, is a Yuletide fandom. This is a total sneak-in of a fandom, I realize that! But omg, I could request Peter/Caspian! But omg, is that gaming the system? But omg, my OTP! But omg, I probably won't even get it!

So, do I change my requests? Or just leave well enough alone? What to do, what to do?

Yeah, I have been torn over whether to ask for the less-rare stuff I'm OTP about, or leave the more rare things I'll be happy to get and won't get anywhere else. So far, the hassle of having to redo the form has kept me from changing anything.

I am so torn on this one! It's less-rare, yeah, but the pairing itself is rather rare these days in the Narnia fandom, omg OTP!

Heh, I'm kind of stuck on the "redo the form" part too.

(Here via random nework browsing: all you have to do this year is go back to the signup form, and you should be able to do the minor editing to redo the form. The link for which is here, if you are interested.)

Well, it took about four hours for my original signup to submit, so I'm not sure I'm up for spending that kind of time to redo anything.

It should have the most of that saved, but yeah, totally understand. It took forever when I was doing a test run signup.

And of course, I went back to change my request, and had a problem. :(

Unfortunate and lame. :(! It worked better for me the second time then the first, oddly enough.

I did the same thing! (Though my OTP is Edmund/Caspian, I love Peter/Caspian too.)

In the end I already had one fairly big fandom request that probably won't make the cut next year, so I decided not to change mine, but I totally offered that instead. lol

I admit, I miss having Narnia on the fandom list this year. Also Leverage and White Collar.

I went back and changed it, and now it won't accept my signup, because for some reason, AO3 doesn't recognize Caspian as a character in the movie Prince Caspian. SIGH.

I left a comment on the post where you can ask for help, but haven't heard anything yet.

Yeah, I saw in the tech thread that a few people had that problem with different fandoms. They're saying it can't be changed at this stage, I believe, and that all you can do is use the last details field to write in the character there and explain and hope it works out.

But maybe they changed that and I missed it.

It said you could try to fix the tags, so I did, but that still didn't work.

I went with the details field, but I suspect this is not going to work out in my favor, lol.

Yeah, I went through and changed tags on a couple when I saw that they'd mushed together in one giant tag somehow. So you can change those, but if the character isn't listed IN the fandom somehow already, then they said they can't add them, if I read right.

Hopefully it'll work!
